Fringe: How to Wear It

A little fringe on the booties or your purse is a simple way to add style without getting in the way of your daily activities.

Welcome to Fashion Friday. This month on NYFW (New York Fashion Week), fringe frenzy hit the runways and streets. Here are some subtle ways to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe without breaking the bank or looking like an extra from Pocahontas.  For the Mom job, try fringe on booties or your purse so the strings don’t impede your house cleaning duties or get ripped off by toddlers.  For the office, feel free to experiment, especially if you sit behind a desk all day.  For the Madam, in the golden age of life, a simple fringe necklace is a great way to stay on trend and keep comfortable while you’re volunteering at charity events, or watching grandkids. A little fringe on the hand bag is a nice addition, too.

  1. I totally agree, Shannon. A little fringe brightens the day. Recently my mom and I vacationed in San Luis Obispo where I picked up some reasonably priced fringe boots. Grey is a great color if you want to buy one pair as it sort of sits in the middle of black and brown in a wardrobe.
